Awakening

There are staggering statistics facing black and indigenous birthing women in our society that demand collective change.

Black and Native women are three to four times more likely to experience a pregnancy-related death than white women. Black and native women are more likely to experience preventable maternal conditions and these disparities in maternal health are irrespective of education and income. [1] [2]

Black infants are 21% less likely to breastfeed than white infants. [3]

Support

To acknowledge the racism that exists in our healthcare system and to support a community of wellness, I offer a partial scholarship to a family each year with a pregnant mother that identifies as Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color.

If my services resonate with your needs and desires to receive nourishing support during the first six weeks postpartum and you want to learn more about the partial scholarship opportunity, please email me.
